TYT is BACK!

Thanks to our generous community, we have received the funds needed to reopen Tacoma Youth Theatre after a FOUR YEAR pandemic pause. Now we are Washington Nonprofit and have Brave and Unbroken serving as our 501c3 fiscal sponsor as we work on securing our own 501c3 status with the IRS. We still need more funding for repairs and improvements, and ongoing expenses. Help make TYT’s re-opening as strong as possible and make a donation to Tacoma Youth Theatre through our fiscal sponsor Brave and Unbroken.

The many behind the scenes changes we have made to the organization have taken longer than expected. And now, we are so excited to have young artists back on the TYT stage.

We are current enrolling for an after school program for Treasure Island. Tuition is $350 with a Pay What You Can option available

Thank you for supporting Tacoma Youth Theatre and the young artists we serve. We hope to see your young artist soon.

Sincerely,

Maggie Knott and Scott Campbell

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”

Tacoma Youth Theatre is dedicated to creating high-quality theatre entirely produced by young artists. The company strives to build community by emphasizing core values of equity, self-esteem, empathy, responsibility, collaboration, creativity, and adaptability. Tacoma Youth Theatre provides professional expectations, resources, and mentors that lead young people through the exploration of multiple theatrical disciplines. This process works best in a nurturing, respectful atmosphere where unique individuals, ages 5-18, can discover the impact, success, and joy of theatre for themselves.
